Impact Study for Prisma and Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) in El Salvador

What we did

Engagement through Metaphors

After the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) investment of £1.3 m in its El Salvador programme over 5 years, we helped them to demonstrate the impact of their work.

We conducted in-depth interviews with local stakeholders and we ran workshops to gather evidence of the programme’s impact.

We also brought in cutting-edge reporting techniques – using metaphors, pictures and anecdotal stories – to make the results more engaging.

For the first time, the Whole Person approach and the U-process methodology were applied in the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) context.

We assessed the early impacts of ‘Promoting regional dialogue around El Salvador’s Adaptation-based-Mitigation (MbA) approach’.

The work consisted of in-depth interviews with local stakeholders to gather evidence of preliminary impacts, reflections on the final workshop in San Salvador and an analysis of the outcomes.

In addition, we examined the project’s alignment with the mission and institutional goals of PRISMA NGO (El Salvador’s Research Programme on Environment and Development).
